“When we decided to buy a Shepherd’s Hut it was a rather impulsive decision, having seen one of Stephan’s earlier creations and fallen immediately in love with it.  Steph has been superb at the detail, ensuring the concept of practical family and visitor accommodation could come to life throughout the design, build and delivery process.

From the outset Steph was very attentive to our wishes - he tailored his build to match our requirements at all stages. This included our desire for king-size double bunks, hardwood window frames, a converted dresser with traditional basin, stone fire back and stained glass windows. The stained glass windows were especially unique as he worked with us on the designs that he sent away to be craftsman-made. This lovely touch gave us something special that we are able to take pride in.

Where we weren’t able to, or weren’t technically adept at making decisions on the build, we were able to leave these to Steph, delegating those decisions. He made great choices, like the log burner, door, furniture or coat hooks. These were all very tasteful and in keeping with our design brief, which Steph carefully took on board at each stage of the build.

Steph has also been very patient with us, as when we initially impulsively ordered our Shepherd’s Hut, we weren’t aware of the length of time the planning process would take. However when permission was granted he delivered the Hut very quickly and has ensured that it is in the position required, level and looking lovely.

We therefore would recommend any potential purchasers of a Shepherd’s Hut to use Stephan’s excellent craftsmanship, as I am sure like us, with such a unique and bespoke finish you will be delighted with his work.”
